Project Objective :

To enable camel, goat and sheep herder and other poor value chain actors in Gujarat, Rajasthan and Himachal to increase their share of the benefits from milk, wool and other value-added product.
Scaling up of their livelihood benefits through developing, adapting and disseminating innovative arrangements, approaches and technologies, together with enabling policies and institutions jointly with all actors and with development partners / practitioners to achieve impact at scale.

Project Description :

An integrated program that aims at enabling camel, goat and sheep herder and other poor value chain actors in Gujarat, Rajasthan and Himachal to increase their share of the benefits from milk, wool and other value-added product. It has been envisaged that scaling up of their livelihood benefits will be achieved through developing, adapting and disseminating innovative arrangements, approaches and technologies, together with enabling policies and institutions jointly with all actors and with development partners / practitioners to achieve impact at scale. Hence, joint learning and capacity building is the core element of project approach and implementation.

19000 Households and 55,000 Members of camel, goat and sheep herder from • Gujarat & Rajasthan State
